TealBook’s Supplier Data Platform automates the collection, enrichment, and distribution of supplier data across all relevant systems, enabling data governance and provenance. Buyers use SDP to streamline operations as it automates data retrieval from supplier portals, spreadsheets, and multiple systems and stay up to date with refreshed details and additional supplier attributes.

Project OverviewIn order to meet ESG requirements and create a diversified supply chain that supports a more ethical, sustainable world, TealBook’s buyers needed to know the suppliers they were working with were using ethical and sustainable materials and practices. Hence TealBook partnered with EcoVadis to screen through various suppliers and provide a sustainability rating. In order to get this rating we were required to create a survey that could enable supliers to answer questions regarding their ethical standards. The challenges we faced was how do we get tealbook clients to share this survey with their suppliers, track those requests and get ratings and view other supplier ratings.

As a buyer I would like to send a survey request to all my suppliers so that I can get the maximum survey responses

As a buyer I do not want to spam my suppliers with numerous requests
Desire: Send minimal number of requests
Pain point: Some suppliers might get spammed with multiple survey requests
Technical Considerations
How do we track all the requests sent? (in the outreach tracker?)
Do we allow the buyer to resend the request in bulk or individually(resend to all? same contact? second contact?)
Do we show all the requests in the outreach tracker? What is an appropriate place to display bulk functionality? (Under admin?)
Do we have create a separate section for bulk under admin, is this a feasible space? Does each supplier have a sustainability contact? If yes should we sent the survey request to that contact? If not we send it to the first contact? If unresponsive do we remind the buyer?
If a buyer has sent a survey request to a supplier, should another buyer be allowed to resend the request? (We could have a modal pop up to the second sender stating - "These suppliers have been requested to complete sus survey, do you wish to send them a reminder?")
Do we allow the system to automate the reminder?

Solution
A dashboard that allows buyers to track and manage their supplier data efficiently. Buyers have the ability to bulk send the esg survey for suppliers to complete.
